Visakhapatnam, May 8 -- FlixBus India today said it has partnered with Green Drive Mobility to launch electric intercity bus services between Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam, marking a major step towards electrification of long-distance bus travel in India.
The companies announced that four electric buses would be introduced in the first phase on the Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam corridor, one of Andhra Pradesh's busiest intercity travel routes.
According to the companies, the initiative aims to provide passengers with a comfortable and technology-enabled travel experience while improving environmental sustainability compared to conventional diesel-operated coaches.
