Dubai, March 16 -- Flights at Dubai International Airport were temporarily suspended on Monday after a drone attack sparked a fire near the airport, prompting authorities to halt operations as a precautionary safety measure.

The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority announced the suspension, saying the step was taken to ensure the safety of passengers and airport staff.
