Dubai, March 16 -- Flights at Dubai International Airport were temporarily suspended on Monday after a drone attack sparked a fire near the airport, prompting authorities to halt operations as a precautionary safety measure.
The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority announced the suspension, saying the step was taken to ensure the safety of passengers and airport staff.
"Travellers are advised to contact their respective airlines for the latest updates regarding their flights," the authority said in a statement, adding that further information would be issued through official channels once the situation is reviewed.
