Rio De Janeiro, March 5 -- Former Monaco and Sporting Lisbon manager Leonardo Jardim has been appointed head coach of Flamengo, the Brazilian Serie A side said.
The 51-year-old replaces Filipe Luis, who was dismissed on Tuesday after an inconsistent start tothe 2026 season.
"The Portuguese coach has signed a contract until December 2027 and has already taken chargeof his first training session," read a statement on Flamengo's official website on Wednesday.
