Kolhapur, July 16 -- Kolhapur district, which has a rich tradition of sports, has been given the honor of organizing national and state level school sports competitions in the academic year 2026-27.
Along with the National School Basketball Competition for children under 17 years, state level competitions in basketball, volleyball, school football, kabaddi and school hockey will be organized in the district.
Regarding the organization and planning of school sports competitions in the year 2026-27, a meeting of the District Sports Council was held at the Collectorate Office under the chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Vijay Rathod.
