Chandigarh, June 9 -- A major fire broke out in a commercial area of Haryana's Rohtak on Tuesday after an air-conditioner compressor allegedly exploded inside a footwear showroom, triggering a blaze that rapidly spread to several adjoining establishments, officials said.
The incident occurred near D-Park, one of the city's busy commercial zones. According to initial information, the fire originated in a shoe showroom during the afternoon hours and soon engulfed four neighbouring shops, resulting in a large-scale emergency response.
