Agartala, Feb. 10 -- A group of five minor girls was rescued by the police from a hotel on VIP Road near Agartala airport.
The minors, who were reportedly from Kanchanpur subdivision in North Tripura district, were found at a hotel in the Natunnagar area during a search operation based on specific intelligence inputs.
Following their rescue, the girls were taken to the Airport police station for a preliminary inquiry.
Srikanta Rudrapal, the officer-in-charge of Kanchanpur police station, mentioned that they had earlier received information about three minor girls from the area who had gone missing.
