New Delhi, Jan. 30 -- Tension gripped the city after five schools in Delhi received email bomb threats on Thursday morning, which were later declared hoaxes after thorough searches by security agencies, an official said.
The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) reported that a call regarding the threats was received around 8:30 a.m., prompting multiple security agencies to conduct a thorough search of the premises.
"Loreto Convent in Delhi Cantonment, Don Bosco in Chittaranjan Park, and Carmel Convent campuses in Anand Niketan and Dwarka have received threats," an official from the DFS confirmed.
Meanwhile, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodhi Estate notified parents of its students about the security threat.
