Bengaluru, March 3 -- Five persons have been arrested in connection with an alleged gangrape case in Karnataka, with the police stating that the investigation is progressing and additional angles are being examined.

Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh said the police have already issued an official press note outlining the action taken so far.

"Regarding this incident, we have issued a press note which clearly states that five people have been arrested and the victim has been asked to give more details, if she has. Along with that, if any other person has any other information, they can come forward," he said.

He added that based on the information currently available, five accused have been taken into custody.
