Birbhum, April 15 -- Just over a week before the phase 1 assembly polls, the unnatural death of a fish trader in Birbhum district created a huge stir on the Bengali New Year on Wednesday.
Mukul Sheikh (42), of Pakha Village in Nalhati, is feared to have been hacked to death, police said based on initial evidence.
The family members of the victim said locals found the body lying in a pool of blood near a ground and informed the police. Nalhati Police reached the spot and sent the corpse for post mortem.
