Jammu, April 1 -- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday described border villages as "India's first line of defence," asserting that their residents embody the nation's courage must be prioritised in developmental efforts. "Border residents are not only first in courage, sacrifice, and patience but you also stand first in the priorities of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi," the Lieutenant Governor said while speaking at a public event, organised under the Phase-II of Vibrant Villages Programme at the vibrant border village of Makwal.
