Hyderabad, Feb. 26 -- In a landmark achievement for public healthcare in the State of Telangana, the first woman to undergo in vitro fertilisation (IVF) at the Gandhi IVF Centre has given birth to a healthy baby girl, creating a new record as the first baby born through government IVF services.

On the occasion, Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha felicitated the doctors and staff of the Gandhi Hospital IVF Centre at a function held at the Indian Institute of Health and Family Welfare (IIHFW) in Hyderabad.

The Minister congratulated the team for their dedicated efforts in making advanced fertility treatment accessible through the public healthcare system.
