Mumbai, Oct. 11 -- The newly built Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) road witnessed its first reported accident today when three vehicles collided on the Ulwe-Panvel service road.

The incident occurred yesterday evening, causing panic among local residents and motorists. Officials confirmed that while the vehicles sustained significant damage, no major injuries were reported.

Preliminary information suggests that a car traveling at high speed from Panvel city towards the airport rammed into a tempo coming from the opposite direction.

The impact was severe. Moments later, a third car trailing behind the first vehicle struck the accident site, resulting in a three-vehicle pile-up and causing the tempo to overturn.
