Solan, April 13 -- A massive fire engulfed property and goods valued at crores of rupees in the Cantonment town of Kasauli market, located in Solan district, early this morning.
The fire, which broke out in Kasauli's famous Main Heritage Market, quickly engulfed eight shops, completely razing them to the ground.
Several craft shops and restaurants were also engulfed by the flames, causing significant losses to the traders.
Fire brigade teams arrived at the scene immediately and began fire extinguishing operation. Given the severity of the situation, military and air force vehicles were also called in and are engaged in relief and rescue operations.
According to locals, the fire is spreading rapidly, making it difficult to control.
