Siliguri, Sept. 5 -- A fire broke out at the basement of a private nursing home on Sevoke Road here on Saturday evening, triggering panic among patients and staff.
The fire was first noticed at around 6-30 pm.
Sources said the basement housed a laboratory and rooms for X-ray and other facilities. Nursing home staff initially managed the situation and informed the fire brigade.
