New Delhi, Jan. 24 -- A fire erupted at a banquet hall in Adarsh Nagar, northeast of Delhi, on Saturday afternoon, injuring at least four people, Delhi Police said.

One of the injured is reported to be in a serious condition, they said.

"A PCR call about the blaze was received around 12.50 pm, after which local police teams rushed to the spot and found that three fire tenders had already arrived," they said, adding that the fire had been brought under control.

Adding to his statement further, he mentioned that initially, no injured persons were found at the scene.

During a preliminary inquiry, police were informed that two injured persons had been taken to a hospital; however, no immediate confirmation was received from nearby hospitals...
