Mumbai, June 2 -- Juhu Police in Mumbai have registered an FIR against three individuals for allegedly posting abusive and objectionable comments about Mumbai BJP President and MLA Amit Satam on social media, officials said on Tuesday.
The case was registered under relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) following a complaint filed by local corporator Anish Makwani on May 30.
According to the police, Satam had posted videos on his official Instagram account highlighting development works undertaken across Mumbai. Two social media users allegedly posted highly offensive, abusive, and derogatory comments on the videos.
