Ranchi, Aug. 2 -- An FIR has been registered in Ranchi against a man for allegedly posting objectionable remarks on social media against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, union Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Hatia MLA Navin Jaiswal, police said.
The FIR was registered at Nagri police station on a complaint filed by BJP Nagri Mandal president Ritesh Raj Mahato.
According to the complaint, the accused, identified as Aleem Ansari, a resident of Nagri, allegedly used abusive language against the leaders in a video posted on social media. The complaint also alleged that the accused threatened to kill MLA Navin Jaiswal and made statements that could disturb communal harmony.
