Ayodhya, June 25 -- Amidst the ongoing probe by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) into the Ram Temple donation theft case, a formal criminal FIR has now been filed in this entire matter.
Most importantly, instead of an external complaint, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust itself has come forward and filed an FIR in this matter.
According to sources here on Thursday, the FIR has been registered under sections 306, 316, 317, and 61 of the BNS, based on a complaint from Ram Janmabhoomi Trust member Krishna Mohan.
This FIR, filed against eight people, does not mention any prominent names. Six of them are cashiers. This action was taken following the SIT's investigation report.
