Bengaluru, July 25 -- An FIR has been registered against BJP MLC CT Ravi at the Chikkamagaluru Town Police Station over his alleged derogatory remarks against the Muslim community during a BJP protest over the alleged NEET examination irregularities, even as the Karnataka State Muslim Federation on Saturday demanded his immediate arrest, accusing him of promoting communal hatred and disturbing public harmony.
Police registered the case on a complaint filed by Mudassir Pasha (36), president of Jamia Masjid, Chikkamagaluru, alleging that Ravi made the remarks during a BJP protest at Azad Park in Chikkamagaluru on July 23.
