Amravati, April 3 -- : Police have registered a case against former Maharashtra minister Bachchu Kadu on charges of allegedly plotting to eliminate the brother of a BJP MLA.
Officials said the FIR was lodged at Chandur Bazar police station following a complaint accusing Kadu and his associates of conspiring to murder the brother of BJP legislator Pravin Tayade.
According to police sources, the complaint is supported by certain evidence submitted by the complainant, and an investigation into the allegations is currently in progress.
Reacting to this, Bachchu Kadu termed the allegations made against him as completely baseless and politically motivated.
He said the accusations are part of a conspiracy to defame him.
