Pune, Oct. 20 -- An FIR (first information report) was registered today at Vishrambaug police station against unidentified women for allegedly offering 'namaz' inside the premises of the historic Shaniwarwada fort in the city.
The case was registered following a complaint lodged by officials of the Archaeological Department.
Videos showing a group of Muslim women offering 'namaz' recently within the fort premises went viral on social media, sparking controversy.
