Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 29 -- Filmmaking is fundamentally a collaborative art, with the creative vision of a film emerging through the collective efforts of directors, writers, cinematographers and various other departments, filmmaker Mrunmayee Lagoo and cinematographer Pooja Gupte said at the 18th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK).
Speaking at an 'In Conversation' session at the festival, the two filmmakers discussed the importance of film-school training, learning through practical experience, developing an individual artistic voice and the evolving nature of collaboration in filmmaking.
