Ranchi, Feb. 10 -- The district-level Filariasis Elimination Campaign was formally launched on Tuesday at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Kanke by Saurabh Kumar Bhuvaniya, Deputy Development Commissioner, Ranchi.
The Mass Drug Administration (MDA) drive will be conducted from February 10 to 25, 2026, in four blocks Rahe, Sonahatu, Tamar and Kanke to prevent filariasis.
The Deputy Development Commissioner said filariasis has no cure but can be prevented through timely medication, urging all eligible citizens to consume the medicine, which he said is completely safe.
