Mumbai, April 7 -- The Governor of Maharashtra, Jishnu Dev Varma, presided over the 99th Foundation Day of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and felicitated its past presidents in Mumbai on Tuesday. FICCI started in Mumbai at the instance of Mahatma Gandhi and will be celebrating its Centenary in the year 2027.
Complimenting FICCI for its services to the nation, the Governor noted that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East has impacted the economies of nearly all countries to varying degrees.
