Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 6 -- The Federation of Employees and Teachers Organisations (FETO) on Thursday demanded the immediate revocation of the suspension of Dr Chithra KAS, alleging that the action was politically motivated and violated the principles of impartial governance.
The organisation also urged the Kerala Government to reinstate the officer and apologise to the public.
In a statement, FETO State General Secretary J. Mahadevan alleged that Dr Chithra was suspended because she did not adopt a political stand in tune with the wishes of the ruling parties. He termed the suspension "highly deplorable" and said it was contrary to constitutional values and the spirit of an independent civil service.
