Shahpur, Nov. 2 -- The four-day Federation Cup Classic and Equipped Powerlifting Championship 2025 began today at the Government Senior Secondary School, Rait.
The event was inaugurated by Himachal Pradesh Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Prof. Chander Kumar. Shahpur MLA and Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania, who also serves as Vice President of Powerlifting India and President of HPPA, attended as the special guest.
Nearly 200 players from across India are participating in the four-day championship.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Chander Kumar said the state government is committed to promoting sports and has implemented several schemes for athletes' welfare.
