New Delhi, July 17 -- Federal Bank, India's private sector bank, on Friday reported net profit of Rs 1,176.93 crore for Q1FY27, which is 36. 57 per cent surge over the corresponding period last year (CPLY), the Bank's statement said here.

According to the statement, this quarter was defined by the strength of the Bank's core franchise, with net interest income and fee income growing 26.06 and 21.71pc respectively.

The Bank said that treasury income remains subdued through a volatile market period.
