Mumbai, Aug. 14 -- The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) seized expired food and beverage products worth around Rs 1 lakh during an overnight raid at a Parle Agro warehouse in the Vashi Naka area of Chembur, officials said on Friday.
The action was carried out between 1800 hrs on August 13 and 0500 hrs on August 14 at the warehouse located at Prayag Nagar on L U Gadkari Marg, with a team of eight FDA officials conducting the operation.
The seized stock included expired cold drinks, Frooti, Appy Fizz and candy juice, officials said.
Following the raid, the FDA sealed the warehouse and two vehicles that were allegedly kept ready for transporting the goods.
