Mumbai, July 16 -- Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has suspended the FSSAI licence of Mumbai-based Parsi Dairy Farm Pvt Ltd after an inspection at its production facility revealed serious violations of food safety and hygiene norms, officials said on Thursday.

The action was taken following a surprise inspection at the company's Princess Street unit in south Mumbai as part of a statewide enforcement drive launched by the FDA to ensure compliance with the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and allied regulations.
