New Delhi, April 1 -- Communist Party of India (CPI) Rajya Sabha MP P. Sandosh Kumar on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the Centre, describing its reported rollback of proposed amendments to the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) as a "tactical retreat forced by sustained pressure," rather than a genuine change in policy.
Kumar asserted that the government's step was the result of consistent resistance from Left parties, Members of Parliament from Kerala, and what he termed the "vigilant democratic opinion" of the people.
