Badaun, April 19 -- In a shocking case from Badaun, police have solved the murder of a 10-year-old boy whose body was found hanging from a tree in Tigra village under the Sahaswan police station area. The killer, his own father, was arrested on Sunday.
The victim, Vishal alias Gopal, was found dead on April 14. Initially, his father, Vijay Singh, claimed that unknown persons had killed his son and staged it as a hanging. However, he did not file any formal complaint.
Three days later, the boy's maternal uncle accused Vijay Singh of the murder. Acting on the complaint, police registered a case and launched an investigation. The accused was arrested on Sunday from the Sahaswan-Nadha road.
