Agartala, July 27 -- Police in Kailashahar of Tripura's Unakoti district have initiated an investigation against a 70-year-old man and his married son for allegedly sexually assaulting a 26-year-old woman with mental challenges, leading to her pregnancy.
The accused were named as Kanta Das (70) and his son Gautam Das.
According to the allegation, the victim, who is a divorced mother of a seven-year-old, had been living at her father's home in the Bhagaban village of Kailashahar. The complaint indicated that Kanta Das, taking advantage of his position as a trusted neighbour, enticed the woman to his residence, where the first assault took place early this year.
