Jalgaon, Aug. 2 -- A shocking incident has come to light from Vadti village in Chopda taluka of Maharashtra's Jalgaon district, where a father allegedly attacked his two children with an axe while they were asleep.
The attack claimed the life of his daughter, while his 11-year-old son sustained critical injuries.
According to preliminary police information, the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday when the two children were asleep inside their house.
The accused, identified as 50-year-old Subhash Gopal Bhilal, allegedly assaulted them with an axe, leaving them with severe head and body injuries.
The elder daughter, Meera, died on the spot due to the grievous injuries.
