Panchkula, July 30 -- Toll collection via the FASTag-based Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system on National Highways has soared past Rs 70,000 crore in 2025-26, as the Centre speeds up the expansion of barrier-free tolling to ease congestion and make journeys quicker.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways revealed these updates in the Rajya Sabha.
The Ministry reports that FASTag toll revenue has climbed steadily over the past three years, increasing from Rs 55,882.12 crore in 2023-24 to Rs 61,408.15 crore in 2024-25, and reaching Rs 70,278.18 crore in 2025-26.
The government has been updating its toll policy to lighten the load on highway users.
