Srinagar, Oct. 5 -- Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) President Farooq Abdullah on Monday welcomed the Supreme Court's decision to seek responses from the Election Commission on pleas challenging the poll panel's functioning.
"I am very happy that the Supreme Court has taken notice of this," Abdullah told reporters in Srinagar. "We are hopeful that they (SC) will look into the mistakes done by them and they will be addressed."The Supreme Court on Monday issued notices to the Election Commission and the Centre, seeking their responses within a week to a plea challenging decisions allegedly taken by the Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar without the approval of the other two Election Commissioners.
