Satara, Oct. 25 -- The family of Prashant Bankar, arrested in connection with the woman doctor's suicide case in Satara, has claimed his innocence, stating that the deceased medical professional had been residing in their home for about a year.

The doctor was found dead in a hotel room in Phaltan around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, with preliminary investigations revealing that she had written allegations on her palm, naming Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) Gopal Badne for repeated torture and Prashant Bankar for physical and mental harassment over the past four months.
