Dehradun, June 20 -- A couple and their two young children were killed due to the collapse of a wall of their house after heavy rainfall in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand on Friday morning.
State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Commandant Arpan Yaduvanshi said a rescue team led by Sub-Inspector Deepak Kuniyal was dispatched to the scene after receiving information that some people were buried under the debris after a house collapsed in the Mora village.
The rescue team reached the village, which is about a kilometre away from the main road, and conducted a search operation. It was found that the incident occurred during the night, and four members of a family died after being buried under the debris of the collapsed wall.
