Thiruvananthapuram, July 6 -- Cyber fraudsters are using the ongoing Flipkart GOAT Sale to lure shoppers with fake discounts and fraudulent advertisements circulating on social media platforms, according to the Kerala Police here today.
The scammers have created fake Facebook pages with names such as "Flipkart GOAT SALE," "Goat Sale Live," "Offers Sale," and "FK Goats Offer's," designed to resemble Flipkart's official pages.
These pages promote premium smartphones, laptops, and other electronic products at exceptionally low prices to attract unsuspecting customers.
Users who click on the advertisements are redirected to fake websites that closely mimic Flipkart's official platform or to private WhatsApp numbers. The fraudsters then press...
