Ranchi, April 11 -- Based on specific inputs from Lucknow Military Intelligence regarding a suspected recruitment fraud, Ranchi police launched a joint operation and arrested a man for allegedly duping several aspirants of about Rs 70 lakh on the pretext of providing jobs in the Army and Military Engineering Services (MES).
Police said a special investigation team (SIT) was constituted under the supervision of senior officers to verify the inputs and trace the accused. Following technical and field investigation, the accused was apprehended from the Chutia area of Ranchi on April 10.
The accused has been identified as Arvind Prasad, a native of Ara in Bihar, who was residing in Ranchi and allegedly operating the fraud network.
