Bahraich, Jan. 13 -- The alertness of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel deployed along the India-Nepal border led to the arrest of five individuals, including a man posing as a Principal Secretary.

A luxury Innova Crysta fitted with a hooter and red-blue beacon lights, along with a large amount of cash, was recovered from their possession, police said on Tuesday.

The incident took place at the Rupaidih checkpost on Monday evening, where an SSB team led by Beat Team Commander Sub-Inspector Suresh Ram, along with SI Shyamba Maiteyi and personnel Ajay Kumar and Priyanka, was conducting intensive vehicle checks. During the operation, an Innova Crysta with flashing red-blue lights and a blaring hooter was stopped.
