Lucknow, April 29 -- A fresh political controversy erupted during the West Bengal Assembly election campaign after TMC's Mahua Moitra took a swipe at IPS officer Ajay Pal Sharma, calling him "fair and lovely babua" in a post on social media platform X.
The All India Trinamool Congress MP also shared two videos, claiming that the officer was seen dancing with a performer, and sarcastically advised him to "stay cool" while asserting her party's dominance in Bengal.
The controversy comes after a separate video surfaced in which Sharma, who has been appointed as a police observer for the elections, is allegedly seen warning supporters and family members of TMC candidate Jahangir Khan.
