Pune, Aug. 24 -- Spokesperson of state Congress Gopal Tiwari on Monday took a dig at Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, urging him to "reduce his needless verbosity" and uphold the dignity of the Chief Minister's office while making allegations against the Opposition.

Reacting to Fadnavis' recent remarks against the Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi over the issue of women's reservation, Tiwari said the Chief Minister's political compulsion to repeatedly criticise the Congress, allegedly to please Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Home Minister Amit Shah, is quite understandable.
