Mumbai, June 10 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis today approved several important decisions related to restructuring of departments under various ministries, streamlining the process of approval of new colleges in the state as well as Good and Services Act, at a cabinet meeting here.

An important decision was taken to restructure the state ministerial departments by approving the proposal of the General Administration Department. Accordingly, the number of administrative departments, which is currently 33, will now be increased to 43 departments. Two sub-departments included in the same department will henceforth function as separate departments.
