Mumbai, Sept. 3 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday condemned the assault on social activist Vidyanand Bapat in Pune, stating that every citizen has a constitutional right to express his or her views and that violence against individuals for their opinions is unacceptable.
Speaking to mediapersons after inaugurating a comprehensive health check-up camp for journalists at the Vidhan Bhavan here, Fadnavis said police had acted promptly in the case and arrested the accused.
"Any attack or assault on a person is completely wrong. Every individual has the right to present his or her stand and opinion. The police have taken immediate action and arrested the accused," he said when asked about the attack ...
