Mumbai, March 6 -- Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis presented the state budget and made several important announcements, including a number of initiatives aimed at supporting farmers, including a National Farming Mission to promote sustainable agriculture in the state.

Special schemes will also be implemented for women cattle rearers and goat farmers. In another significant move, agricultural labourers will now be included under the Gopinath Munde Board, which is expected to benefit a large number of rural farmers.

The Chief Minister also announced the Mukhyamantri Baliraja Farm Access Road Scheme to improve connectivity to agricultural fields.
