Mumbai, April 29 -- An intense heatwave sweeping through Dhule has led to severe consequences, with temperatures soaring to 45.1 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

The extreme weather conditions have not only affected residents but are now taking a toll on animals and birds as well.

In a significant incident reported from Arni village in Dhule taluka, nearly 200 chickens died at a poultry farm owned by a local farmer. The deaths are attributed to the relentless heat, which left the birds unable to cope with the rising temperatures.
