Toronto, March 28 -- Loud explosions were heard and thick smoke was seen in downtown Toronto during the evening rush hour on Friday after several propane cylinders ruptured on the roof of a building under construction, authorities said.
Firefighters extinguished the fire at a place located at Richmond Street W. near John Street, CBS news quoted Toronto firefighters and police as saying.
The fire resulted in "ruptured propane cylinders, heavy flames and thick smoke," Toronto Fire Services said in a social media post on Friday. No one was injured in the incident.
