Bhubaneswar, Aug. 6 -- Leading tuberculosis experts on Thursday stressed the urgent need to strengthen Universal Drug Susceptibility Testing (UDST) and adopt advanced diagnostic technologies, including molecular diagnostics, genotypic testing, targeted next-generation sequencing (tNGS) and artificial intelligence (AI), to ensure early detection of drug-resistant tuberculosis (TB) and accelerate India's goal of eliminating the disease.

The experts were speaking at the two-day National Conclave and Policy Dialogue on Tuberculosis, organised by AIIMS Bhubaneswar in collaboration with the Policy Resilience Foundation (PRF).
