Patna, May 4 -- The Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation on Monday suspended an executive engineer following the collapse of the Vikramshila Bridge, a key link connecting Bhagalpur with North Bihar.
Corporation Chairman Chandrashekhar Singh told news persons here that the corporation took immediate action after the incident. Taking serious note of the collapse the concerned executive engineer has been suspended with immediate effect. He revealed that an inspection team from Patna had recently examined the bridge and flagged multiple structural deficiencies.
