New Delhi, March 27 -- Praveen Khandelwal, Member of Parliament and Secretary General of the Confederation of All India Traders, has welcomed the Centre's decision to reduce special excise duty on petrol and diesel, calling it a step that could ease pressure on consumers and businesses.
In a statement, Khandelwal said the reduction in excise duty from Rs 13-3 per litre on petrol and from Rs10 to zero on diesel comes at a time of rising global crude oil prices and could help maintain price stability in the domestic market.
